Our History

  • 1983

    Carver & Associates was incorporated in February 1983. The company’s first office was in San Francisco, followed by an office in Atlanta. The company’s first hotel was a 1,100 room hotel in San Francisco (now the Park 55 Hotel). The first project in the Atlanta office was the 400 room Canal Place Hotel in New Orleans.

  • 1985

    In 1985 the company opened an office in Las Vegas to manage the renovation and an additional 800 room tower in the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. The company’s fourth office was in Boston, opened in 1986 (closed in 1989).


  • 1987

    The company’s first year with $100 million in spend was 1987.

  • 1989

    In 1989 the company moved from San Francisco to a permanent office in Las Vegas.


  • 1993

    In 1993 a partnership was formed with Mr. Chang Ko in Seoul, Korea, and a new office was opened there.

  • 1999

    In 1999 Carver & Associates added interior design services to its offering and opened a new division that provides “turn-key” design and procurement to the hospitality industry. This division then opened a new office in Griffin, Georgia to manage a large volume of work it was contracting.


  • 2004

    In 2004 a partnership was formed with TEAM Architects in Mexico City (now inactive).

  • 2016

    In 2016 the company entered into a partnership with Mr. Mohamed Iqbal, with offices in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and the Indian sub-continent.


Carver & Associates is consistently ranked among the largest hospitality purchasing company in the United States, and, prior to the COVID Pandemic typically opened or renovated at least 300 hotels annually. Today, the company has a staff of over 70 professionals, and enjoys a reputation for competence and caring throughout the hospitality industry.
